Devotional Schedule

Trimester 3 2019 (October to February)

Galatians is a letter intended to combat the incorrect teaching that circumcision was necessary for salvation. This to us translates as works-based righteousness. The message here is that true gospel doctrine leads to freedom and obedience. In your devotionals, focus on what kind of beliefs or practices that you fall into apart from the righteousness of Christ. Do your religious practices and morality save you? Or is your salvation and sanctification based entirely on the loving sacrifice of Jesus Christ? Ephesians affirms who we are in Christ. Gospel living is about living out of our spiritual identity. If we wholeheartedly believe in who we are as Christians (chapters 1-3), then our lives will reflect those truths (chapters 4-6). The Psalms are less about doctrine and more about worship. Allow the Psalms to slow you down so you can listen for God’s voice and respond in worship and prayer.
